Threats

The world is going to be affected more every time by different threats and corporations must prepare to defend themselves.

This implies that an “immune system” hast to be implemented in organizations by the proper awareness, adequate design of methodologies and installation of the right and specific products.

GRC Solutions

The concept of Risk management for Operational and Information Risks is redefining itself and implies changes for Organizations in the concept and scope of Risk Management.

This also means that security and risk management is a problem of “everybody” and is world-wide. Therefore we should talk about Physical and Logical security as an integrated problem, with which all the persons in the Organization should be involved to minimize all kinds of risks.

The concept of Risk is now linked more every day to the concept of added value to the business objectives of the organization.

World Economic Forum

The ISF signs up to the World Economic Forum’s Cyber Resilience Partnership.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) released their Partnering for Cyber Resilience programme targeting public and private sector leaders to respond to emerging cyber threats. Some of our Member contacts were closely involved in its development. The ISF has signed up to this Partnership for Cyber Resilience, joining 18 other Members.

The Partnership for Cyber Resilience emerged as a key initiative from the WEF’s multi-stakeholder project –Risk and Responsibility in a Hyperconnected World– and encourages chief executives and government leaders to personally sign up to four high level core principles to focus on developing resilience against
cyber attacks.

The next steps and objectives for 2013 focus on:

  • What is the single biggest cyber related risk in your area?
  • Are the proposals from your experts good next steps for action?
  • How to develop the cyber agenda for board meetings?
  • How can organisations and governments address cyber threats without hindering the innovative power of the Internet?
  • How are others informing their shareholders about what they are doing to mitigate the threats?
  • How can greater cyber transparency be created to maturity levels, strengths and weaknesses in resilience
  • Where is the greatest vulnerability?
